Meet Dr. James Sorensen
Dr. James’ Journey to Chiropractic
Dr. James E. Sorensen, D.C. is a licensed chiropractor dedicated to serving the families of Burleson with advanced brain-based care. Born in Lewisville, Texas and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Sorensen’s path to chiropractic began in high school when he suffered a football injury. After trainers couldn’t identify the source of his low back pain, his father made the pivotal decision to take him to a chiropractor. This first-hand experience sparked his fascination with chiropractic care and set him on his professional path.
Education and Advanced Training
Dr. Sorensen’s academic journey took him across the country, with undergraduate studies in Iowa and Colorado before completing his Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Arizona in 2011. He then pursued his graduate work at Parker University in Dallas, Texas, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2015.
Specialized Care for Children and Families
With a special interest in pediatric care, Dr. Sorensen is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and plans to complete additional specialized training modules. He understands that birth can be physically and emotionally stressful for both mother and baby, with approximately 95% of newborns experiencing spinal misalignments from the birth process. These misalignments can affect nursing, rest, digestion, development, and immune function—making gentle adjustments a vital part of infant health.
A Passion for Whole-Family Wellness
Dr. Sorensen’s practice philosophy centers on helping entire families live abundantly with minimal nervous system interference. He takes a comprehensive approach to wellness that addresses the root causes of health challenges rather than just treating symptoms. This commitment to complete care makes Synaptic Chiropractic a trusted healthcare resource for patients of all ages in the Burleson community, from newborns to seniors seeking to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.
